Not sure why this is blurry, but I thought it was a good one of Devin. It's nice to see pictures of him when he's NOT sick.
Devin took this one of Kate and me. He told her to say hi, and she waved.
We finished school a whole hour earlier than yesterday, so in our free time we made some chocolate chip cookies, and then Devin and Kate were playing Legos and she put the bucket over her head as a silly hat (she's been doing that a lot lately with bowls and other assorted buckets) and of course I didn't have the camera! I ran to get it, but by the time I got back upstairs with it, she didn't want to do it anymore. Figures. So we took the above pictures instead.
I finally implemented some rules for the boys and their video games. They each have a Nintendo DS, they share the Wii, and then they like to go on the computer sometimes. Enough is enough, and especially with school going in full swing now, there had to be limits. So I gave them a one hour time limit on either the computer, the Wii, or the DS. They can choose which one they want to play, and they have one hour to play it. That's it. Yesterday was the first day of the new rules, and they did pretty well. Not much complaining or whining, so I was pleased. I'm sure as time goes on, it will get easier. Besides, they have so many toys they can now see to play with. Frank went and bought a five tier shelf and some nice deep storage drawers, and we turned the storage room into a toy room. Eventually I'd like to have school in there too, but for now it's nice for them to be able to see their toys and games. They had been packed away from when we moved here in June. Antonio has been spending a lot to time with his K'Nex, and Devin likes to play with the Fisher Price castle set and the pirate ship set. They are figuring out they can have fun without video games or tv. Perhaps I'll take some pictures of the new room, and also their fort under the steps that they decorated. Here's a hint...think Jonas Brothers and High School Musical 3. Ha!
