Friday Night

Well, here we go with another episode. I only have a short time to write, as Devin is throwing up a lot this time! I've ordered his IV medication through our home medical supply company, and we'll go pick it up tomorrow. Our home health nurse will come tomorrow to train me how to give them through his port. I got his port and pump accessed and hooked up all by myself tonight for the first time. No nurse was here watching over my shoulder. I did it all by myself. I prayed like crazy before I did anything though, and it took me two tries to get the needle in right. Devin is such a brave guy!

Here he is in their fort under the stairs after they decorated it with pictures from a teenager magazine.

This is our storage area that I am trying to get organized. It looks like a big mess right now, but it's much better than it used to be! We have shelves for the games and puzzles, a set of deep storage drawers for smaller items, a toy box that holds Devin's stuffed animals that he can't part with, and more shelving for K'Nex, animal sets, and trains. It's become a little play area for the children, and they seem to enjoy it. If we owned the place, we'd put drywall up and make it into a school room. Since we're renters though, we'll make due with how it is.

This is my brother's 7 week old puppy he named Flusher. He is training to be a pheasant hunter. My brother works at Rush Creek Sportsmans Club, and this is where he got his puppy. They have dogs there that are expertly trained hunting dogs, and my brother would like to do the same with Flusher. He is just the cutest little thing, and so obedient already! It's amazing how he comes when Josh calls him, and he sits with little to no prompting.
Here he is playing with his stuffed turkey. He's a natural born hunter. While he was at my place this afternoon, he pawed and killed a grasshopper, and a moth. He's after this turkey like a true bird dog already!

I have to go take care of Devin now. I hope this episode doesn't last too long.

God bless,

Kristine *Ü*
