It's Sunday night and I thought I'd do a quick update. Not much has been going on this weekend. After the chaos of last week, I'm happy to have some quiet around here!
Saturday I took the children to the zoo. That was a lot of fun and all three of them enjoyed it more than I thought they would. I saved it as a surprise for them. We did some shopping before that, and I wanted to see how Devin would hold up, and since he did well, I figured it was safe to go. I had his stroller and Kate's, and I have to tell you that Antonio was a HUGE help! He pushed Kate while I pushed Devin, and not once did he get carried away or lose attention enough that he forgot about Kate. He was always aware that he was pushing her in the stroller and didn't leave her alone or walk away from her. I was so surprised by his attentiveness toward her. It was so nice to have him as my helper.
This evening my brother Josh came over with a friend named "Flusher". Not flusher of toilets, but flusher of birds. He got a puppy!!! He's a six week old yellow lab, and the cutest little thing I've ever seen! He's already obedient too! He knows Josh's voice well, and when Josh tells him to come, he comes, and when he says sit, he sits. He had the boys running around the yard tonight playing chase, and every once in a while he'd come back to sit by Josh's side for a minute, almost to check in, then he'd go play again. Oh how I wish I had gotten a picture of him, but I will next time I see him. Josh said he'd bring him over often so he can get to know us.

Devin last week. His pump and battery pack are on the tray table there, with the bag of fluids on the IV pole. It's so nice to have his port now!

Antonio on his first day of school. I made him do a quick pose, but in this picture he's worried because the bus is coming and he thinks he's going to miss it.
