The boys are really into reading the Magic Tree House books lately. They are well-written, factual books, containing only 10 short chapters in each book. I require them to read at least two chapters a day, and they are enjoying themselves. Sometimes it's so hard to get 9 year olds to read, so I'm glad I found something that interests them.
Ok, on to my horribly mean sister. For reasons I won't get into, she read something about chocolate to me that ruined my life. Anyone who knows me, knows I love the stuff more than life some times, and I eat way too much of it. Well, she told me that this article she read says that in some chocolate factories, there are additives in chocolates that weren't meant to be there. Like rat, rat and mouse droppings, roach parts and roach droppings. I was devastated!! I screamed at her to tell me she made that all up, that she was kidding!!! "NO!" she said. She really wasn't kidding. I had just finished baking chocolate chip cookies, WITH EXTRA CHOCOLATE CHIPS in them!! Oh man! I felt sick! Now what would I do? I had a whole bunch of delightful and delictible cookies just sitting there begging to be eaten, but all I can think about are roach parts hiding in them! Oh well. Life goes on. You know I'm going to eat them anyway. Kisses anyone? Ha!
