Poor Devin is having another episode. He didn't have one in all of June, thank the Lord, but lo and behold, on July 1st, he started up again. This time though, we have meds at home and we're fighting it on our own turf!! No hospitals this time! He's only thrown up twice, but the bigger problem is that he isn't getting much intake. He started the day sipping Gatorade, so I'm hoping he'll continue doing that throughout the day and it will stay down, and maybe by tomorrow he'll be feeling better.

I talked to my friend Sherry from Sarasota last night. She and I both have chronically ill children, although my son doesn't even go through half of what her daughter goes through. We've only spoken on the phone twice, but each time was so special because God knew we needed each other to talk to. She and I go through some very tough times with our children, and there are so few people that can truly understand what that feels like. It is so good to talk to her, and it helps so much that we can pray for each other. She lives just outside Pinecraft, FL, and has a blog if you'd like to check it out at notaflightrisk.blogspot.com. She has some nice pictures on there, and she is definitely a gifted writer. She writes a weekly column in The Budget newspaper.
